LADIES VS FELLAS: The Playoffs!

Congratulations to the following 6 teams that made it to the playoffs:

1. Domin8 Trix

2. Girl Behaving Badly

3. STAR Studded

4. Jacksonville Swaguars

5. Ballers Unorthodoks

6. DNasty

Well my ladies have been handling business all season long! As a result, 2 of the ladies (Domin8 Trix and Girl Behaving Badly) had bye weeks during this first round of playoffs. Congrats to the rookie, STAR Studded still having a phenomenal year. This week she knocked the commish out of the playoffs and has advanced to the next round. While I got knocked out of the playoff picture during the last round of games, I’m so proud my ladies are still representing at 1,2, and 3! We are in the home stretch now! Keep up the great work!

I’m not one to make excuses, but if I kept Seattle’s Defense in my lineup, I WOULD HAVE WON! But I digress. STAR Studded has a great team and a great “owner”, so congratulations are due. She deserves a lot of credit especially since this is her first ever Fantasy Football experience. She drafted like a vet and made great waiver wire moves. I do have to give Jacksonville Swaguars a shout out because he made a valiant effort this season and has been at the top of the HE division for most of the year. Special props for Ballers UnOrthodoks for carrying the MEN on his back as he goes into the next round of the playoffs. You had a terrible start to the season, but you came back like Rocky against Clubber! You have a tough task ahead taking on the #1 seed Domin8 Trix, but SHE CAN BE BEATEN! As a matter of fact, I’m prognosticating that BALLERS UNORTHODOKS will be the LEAGUE CHAMPION!

Congratulations to the remaining teams, and HAPPY HOLIDAYS everyone!

Turkeybowl, Harbowl, Rodgers and Romo

Seasons Greetings everyone!  We hope you each had a great Thanksgiving Day with your family and friends.  Thanksgiving with our family was quite awesome!  We planned with our families to arrive no later than noon to get the festivities started.  While we didn’t have a typical tailgate, we did have a Packers/Lions pre-game set up.

I actually thought the Lions had a huge chance to win the game, and it started out pretty even.  However, the Lions loss their momentum, and their cool, and ultimately the game.  At least it was a good game for at least one half.

At halftime we had our version of a Turkey Bowl at the Morris house.  This was a competitive matchup between me and J’s father against J’s brother in law and her two young nephews, aged 4 and 6.  These little “ankle biters” were juking, and zig zagging, and head faking, and talking trash.  It was truly a sight to see.  The oldest one, AJ, had his own little touchdown dance.  It was a lot of fun!  I’m already looking forward to next year’s rematch.

LADIES VS FELLAS WEEK 9

Ladies, I almost had a picture of a broom up here…almost.  Ballers Unorthodoks is coming back like fashion trends.  He handed us our only loss (and barely)!  Next, the game between your commish (DNasty) and DC turned out to be a tie with the last play of the Ravens vs Steelers game.  Our record against the men this week is 3-1-1…Every game really did come down to the wire!  You ladies are real bad-MICHAEL JACKSON

He’s Mad…She’s Mad…and Nobody Knows ANYTHING in Week 8

Let me tell you how yesterday was supposed to go:   church,  finishing touches on our fantasy lineups, and Sunday Pre-game shows on ESPN/NFL Network.  She was “wishing” the Redskins would pull out a win and I was certain my Cowboys would pull out a win.  Well…none of that happened.  Continue reading

LADIES VS FELLAS WEEK 6

Carson, Donavan, and Ballers Unorthodoks! It’s been quite a day in Fantasy and the NFL.  First, I can’t believe what a great move the Bengals made in trading Carson Palmer to the Raiders.  The owner of the Bengals, Mike Brown is notorious for not trading at all, and he has gone on record by saying that he would never trade Palmer.  Well today he had a sense of clarity, because Brown pulled the trigger to the tune of two first round draft picks.  For that guy?!?!  UNBELIEVABLE!  Next, I have to mention the sad end to the career of Donavan McNabb.  He was benched in Sunday’s loss to the Bears, and it was announced today that the benching will be permanent.  What a terrible way to go for such an accomplished player who at one point in his career was an exciting franchise QB.  Doubtful, that he’ll end up like Kurt Warner, whose own career was brought back from the dead.  When he arrived DOA in Arizona.  So SAD McNabb.   Now on to He SAID She Said Fantasy Football. Saturdays are good for us!

Last week our Canes dropped below .500 in a loss to the Virginia Tech Hokies.  We watched the game at Buffalo Wild Wings in College Park Maryland.  Luckily the Terps had an away game and had just suffered a loss of their own.  Otherwise things for us in that Wild Wings could have been worse.

Today I fully expected the Canes to win-and win they did…well barely Continue reading
