We chose the morning of Friday October 12, 2012 to get MARRIED! Between all of the planning, moving and marrying, we’ve been extremely busy. We want to thank all of you for your support and encouragement of us and our blog. Our posting schedule has been light, but we are looking forward to getting more focused in the future. Thanks for all of the well wishes on our union already! We are so blessed.

We disagree on just 2 games this week…
For those of you new to our blog (thanks for reading by the way), I am a fan of the Washington Redskins. For the overwhelming majority of my adult life, this has not been a fun fact. I’ve grown accustomed to being nervous every single Sunday watching the Redskins play. I am also used to “fans” falling in and out of love with the team. For over a decade, I’ve listened to sports talk radio. Fans for the Washington Redskins (including yours truly) are emotionally unstable. Every week, it seems like we are calling for someone to get fired or cut. After the first 4 games of 2012 alone, I’ve heard for the firing/cutting of both Mike and Kyle Shannahan, Danny Smith (special teams coach), WR Josh Morgan, CB DeAngelo Hall, and new to this list: kicker Billy Cundiff.
Typically, I believe in giving players/coaches multiple chances and opportunities to perform well before I jump out there and yell “GET RID OF HIM!”. Even a few weeks ago when seemingly all of Redskins nation wanted to cut Josh Morgan for his mental mistake in St. Louis, I kept pretty level-headed. Well friends…yesterday I was one of the crazies! After watching Billy Cundiff miss 3 field goals before making the game winner, I was enraged! Even though Cundiff hit the game winner, I still wanted the Redskins to board the plane home and leave Cundiff in Tampa. Like seriously Leave. Him. There. Continue reading
She has a lot of work to do to catch up…
What a wild weekend in the NFL! There were upsets, shoot-outs, close calls, questionable calls, and OTs. It was definitely something for everyone (unless your team happens to be one of the teams that lost).
We watched the early games at The Green Turtle in Arlington, VA. We are moving to the area in 2 weeks so we wanted to explore sports bars in our neighborhood (there are MANY). The atmosphere was awesome, but there is one major flaw for this place. They did not have Wi-Fi. I’m not a picky person, but as a NFL fan and Fantasy Football owner, I expect a sports bar to have Wi-Fi in 2012. There were fans of many teams so it was cool to hear people yelling about different games.
There was a Lions fan directly in front of us and he could barely breathe. This guy was full of emotions-rightfully so. I wanted to feel bad for him when the Lions actually lost in OT, but I was distracted by the Skins loss myself. Sitting to the right of us was a Jets fan. He was another one yelling on every other play, taking his hat off and putting it back on, standing up and sitting down. The nerves of fans. It’s a sight to see. Continue reading
Looks like things will get interesting late…
