Football on Vacation

Today we are heading on a MUCH NEEDED vacation to Negril, Jamaica!  If I had to find one great thing about the football off-season, it’s that I don’t have to worry about missing a game while I’m outside of the US.  Football related news and rumors is another story.  While I plan to relax and have a great time, I certainly want to keep up with the sports world.  Let us tell you about a few apps we have to keep us informed:

Redskins App:  Naturally I would keep up with MY team!  I look to this app to update me on stuff found on  All things RGIII, rookie related, etc are what I will find using this app.  Trivial items interest me also like throwback unis, cheerleader updates, rumors…I love that I can check it out on this app.

Cowboys News: This app pulls Bleacher Report, SB Nation, Yahoo! Sports, NBC Pro Football Talk, Cowboys on Twitter, etc.  I can keep up with all things Cowboys while we are away!  Different opinions matter to me which is why I love that I can get all this news in one place.

Canes App:  We both love the Miami Hurricanes. This app is kinda slow during the off-season, but still its the most informative app when it comes to football for The U!  Community service efforts, happenings in the area, newly acquired players, etc are featured using this free app!

FlipBoard: One of my favorite apps period!   It’s more than just sports when it comes to this app.  Still when it comes to sports, Yardbarker and Bleacher Report are the go to blogs to check out on FlipBoard.  Rumors, updates, scores, press conference footage–you name it are all available on this app.  Like I said, one of my favorite apps!

Finally, never underestimate the power of social media!  Facebook and Twitter will be great resources to us.  Players tweet faster than any media story.  We enjoy reading and communicating with our friends and colleagues about football.  Fan reaction is what we live for!  If something happens over the next 5 days, we know you won’t let us down…
